IGS Benefits

The Internet Grievance System (IGS) is an entirely web-based application.  With the IGS:

  • No installation or synchronization of multiple copies needed on different computers.
  • Data is immediately updated in the IGS datacenter allowing up to the minute detail.
  • Grievances are all centrally located, eliminating redundancy and duplication.
  • Share your union grievance data across all of your office locations.

Customizable.  The IGS can be customized for your local union.  The contracts for your members can be built directly into your IGS.  Your grievance meeting steps are customized.  Your union's logo will display on your IGS and you can upload grievance specific documentation to your IGS.  You can even customize up to four fields on the grievance entry screen to capture the EXACT data that organization needs to capture!

100% Web-Based.  The IGS can be accessed from any computer or smartphone with Internet access.  Since the IGS is web-based, it eliminates problems with older systems: duplication of data on multiple computers and the need to synchronize multiple computers and users to one in-house database. 

Real Time Updates.  Updating is simple with the IGS.  The user enters or modifies the grievance data and presses "Save".  All users can instantaneously see the changes or additions to the data, no matter where they are located. 

Multiple Options.  Your grievances are tracked in the IGS on a step-by-step basis.

  • You can add and update the meeting steps as they progress.
  • You can append documents to the grievance by scanning and uploading them to the IGS.
  • You can print or view an entire grievance summary screen and all supporting documents by simply clicking the "Print" button.
  • You can setup automatic email notifications at each meeting step.
  • You can make notes on a specific grievance that are only visible to you and your other users  

Reporting in Real Time.  Use the IGS Search Feature to display report tables of up to 14 different search criteria combinations; four of them are custom fields that you can setup! 

Multiple Security Levels.  The IGS can be secured with 4 levels of user security.  Each user is assigned one of these levels and will have access to certain criteria within the system.

There is an IGS feature that allows the administrators of your IGS to remotely reset usernames and passwords and setup/delete users as necessary.

Detail Audit Trail.  You can view a selective detailed report of your user activity on the IGS.  For example, if you wanted to see exactly how many times you or any other user on your IGS has logged in within the month of September, you can run that report within the IGS Audit feature.  It is a great administrative tool to keep track of your system's history and usage!
